Below is a sampling of workshops and courses available for organizations and individuals. Some of these modules are available for university credit.

Etiquette and Traveling in China
This class will prepare you to develop both friendships and business relationships in China. The class will explore Chinese etiquette & manners which include addressing others, gift-giving and other customs.  Prepare for practical logistics before your trip by learning about Chinese money; buying & operating your cell phone; shopping & bargaining; how to stay healthy; restaurants and more. Some basic Chinese language skills will also be taught to help you adapt to the culture.

Chinese Language and Cultural Activities for the Classroom
This class will provide K-12 teachers with practical ideas for integrating Chinese language and culture in their classes. Activities will include Chinese writing, games, music, hands-on activities, Chinese dance, Tang Dynasty poetry, math and Chinese writing. Learn simple Chinese through multi-sensory methods in this active, learning-by-doing class. The course also provides an overview of the educational system in China. Many teachers pass this information onto their students as well as learn for their own professional development.

Looking Toward the East:
What American Educators can learn from the Chinese Educational System
What is it that we can gain from China that will help American Students develop a global outlook and prepare them for careers in an integrated world? This session explores the strengths of the Chinese educational system and what U.S. administrators can learn from it. Points of discussion will include the Chinese curriculum, unique cognitive skills, and the structure of the Chinese educational system. To obtain a deeper understanding of how Chinese are educated, we will also look at case studies of students who started their education in China before transferring to the U.S.

Chinese Culture
This class will cover topics such as Chinese language, food, dance & music; health & healing, education, holidays, language, business customs, holidays and family life. It will provide hands-on activities such as making dumplings, games, language and musical activities.
                       
Chinese Language for Educators
A course designed to provide basic knowledge of Chinese language and culture for K-12 educators.

Chinese Language I
By learning the Chinese language through movement and multi-sensory methods, this class will take the mystique out of the process. Learn tones, phrases, characters and pinyin. Basic sentences patterns along with needed phrases for both business and survival Chinese will be taught. You will be surprised how quickly you get the gist of a language thought to be difficult to learn.

Chinese Language II
This class increases in difficulty from Chinese Language I. Also taught through multi-sensory methods and music, your confidence and knowledge of the Chinese language will increase.

Strategies for Learning a Second Language
In this time in history, many Americans realize that in order to reach out internationally through their chosen profession, they must learn a second language. This class will equip the second language learner with strategies to help them learn a second language more efficiently. This class is a learning-by-doing class with examples in beginning Mandarin, Chinese.
